These days the chain is congested again, and the mempool looks like people lining up for Spring Festival travel… The moment you broadcast it is actually just “registering.” Miners/packagers will first pick the ones that can afford the tip, and if you set the tip too low, it will keep getting stuck. If you’re unlucky, it’ll be bumped out by a later transaction with the same nonce. In the end, you either wait forever, or you add fees and resubmit. The most annoying part is that you think you “bought”/“sold,” but in reality it’s just hanging in mid-air.

Why do I get an urge to fiddle with it? To put it simply, I see everyone talking about rate-cut expectations, the US dollar index, and those kinds of volatility in risk assets that make everything go haywire—so I always feel like, “If I don’t move, I’ll miss out.” Then my hand slips and I click confirm… Anyway, when it’s congested, I’d rather go slower: check permissions first, watch the fund flow, and don’t treat your wallet like a wishing well.
