BlockBeats News, May 6 — London-based AI recruitment platform Ethos has completed a $22.75 million Series A funding round, led by a16z with participation from General Catalyst. Ethos uses AI to interview candidates and analyze their academic papers, code, and other professional content to build detailed skill profiles. The platform then matches experts with paid opportunities, including consulting, market research, AI data annotation, advisory services, and full-time jobs.

Ethos co-founder and CEO James Lo said, “Resumes cannot truly reflect a person’s abilities. Ethos aims to help people showcase their complete professional capabilities in an economy reshaped by AI, and assist companies in more accurately finding the talent they truly need.” Ethos seeks to address the issues of fake or AI-generated resumes flooding the market and the difficulty in verifying candidates’ genuine abilities.
