General Mills Fiscal 2025 Sustainability Report: Emissions Drop, Water Use Rises - News and Statistics

General Mills’ Fiscal 2025 Sustainability Report reveals a setback in its goal to reduce supply chain greenhouse gas emissions, with only a 14% reduction compared to the 2020 baseline, down from 19% in fiscal 2024. Operational emissions increased by 3% year-over-year, and water usage per ton of finished product also rose. While the company achieved zero-waste-to-landfill status for all facilities and improved packaging recyclability, it lagged in animal welfare sourcing for broiler chickens and cage-free eggs.
