Lately, looking at DAO proposals feels a bit like reading a personal ledger of favors... On the surface, it says "Encourage community participation," but in reality, it's about shifting voting power into whose hands: rewarding voters is fine, but how the rewards are distributed, who receives them, and whether there's a cap basically determine who will be most motivated to "organize" votes in the future.
In the past, I only looked at whether the proposal was beneficial, but now I pay more attention first: Is there a new role/new committee added, who has the signing authority for execution, and whether opposition votes have real veto power.
And regarding the recent testnet points expectations, everyone is guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens or not, but I care more about whether the proposal has hardcoded the narrative of "points = loyalty," once it's set, the power structure will be hard to change later.
First, open the umbrella; after all, there's usually some flavor before the excitement really kicks in.
