Techub News reports that, according to Decrypt, Bitcoin mining company Hut 8 announced the signing of a 15-year lease agreement for AI data centers valued at $9.8 billion, involving its 352 MW IT capacity at the Beacon Point campus in Texas. The facility was initially used for Bitcoin mining and later converted into AI infrastructure based on Nvidia's DSX architecture. This deal brings Hut 8's total signed capacity for AI data centers to 597 MW, with tenants being anonymous high-investment-grade companies, and the first data halls are expected to be delivered in Q3 2027.
