Core Scientific announces the acquisition of Oklahoma Bitcoin mining company Polaris DS LLC for $421 million, with the transaction expected to be completed in Q3 2026, pending regulatory approval. Polaris has 440 MW of contracted power through Oklahoma Gas & Electric, with a 40-acre campus that is powered on and operational, and is located near Core Scientific's operations in Muskogee. Core Scientific stated that the deal will help it rapidly expand its AI business and support its transformation and expansion of existing Bitcoin mining facilities into high-density hosting services for AI and compute-intensive workloads.
