If you were born between 1981 and 1996, then you are a millennial – a generation that, honestly, had a unique chance to see the world in two dimensions. It’s no coincidence that we are considered one of the best generations.

We remember a time without the internet, without smartphones, when you had to plan meetings in advance and remember phone numbers. And then, as adults, we encountered the digital world. This gave us a rare advantage – we understand both traditional business (people, relationships, physical contact) and modern (online, systems, scaling). A good millennial can sell in the market and succeed online at the same time. That’s our superpower.

Our generation grew up during a time when the labor market changed dramatically. A diploma no longer guarantees success, and that made us think differently. Millennials started creating startups, launching online businesses, mastering freelancing – all because we learned to solve problems, not just follow instructions. We’re not afraid to come up with alternative paths.

Another feature of ours – we sell not just products, but stories and experiences. We understand that people buy based on emotions, and we know that loyalty isn’t built solely on price. That’s why so many millennials excel in branding, content, and marketing. We don’t ignore the power of networks and human connections, even in the digital age.

In terms of finance, we’re also ahead. Yes, not all of us are wealthy, but our understanding of money, investments, assets, and passive income is much higher than what our parents had at the same age. This gave us more tools to build wealth.

And here’s another thing – millennials value freedom more than titles. We’re not as attracted to high ranks if it means losing control over our time and decisions. Entrepreneurship, personal brands, remote work – all of this appeals to us precisely because it’s freedom.

Finally, we’re not afraid to retrain. If something isn’t your specialty, that’s okay – you can learn. Millennials easily change direction, acquire new skills, start from scratch. In a volatile world, that’s a huge advantage. See how many of us work outside the field we studied in school? And do it well.

Millennials, let’s admit it – we’ve earned the right to be proud of our generation.
