Deep Tide TechFlow News: On May 06, according to Decrypt, Apple has agreed to pay $250 million to settle a class-action lawsuit over allegedly overstating the capabilities of its AI services on iPhone devices. Under the settlement terms, users who purchased eligible iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 models in the United States between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, are expected to receive compensation of between $25 and $95 per device, covering about 36 million devices. The lawsuit centers on the claim that Apple Intelligence–related features released by Apple in June 2024, including an upgraded Siri, did not roll out as advertised. Apple denies any wrongdoing and says the dispute involves only two additional features within the Apple Intelligence feature suite.
