Recently, a beginner asked me what the letters K, M, E, B, T mean on exchanges, so I decided to organize it. These are actually abbreviations for numerical units.

Starting from the most basic: 1K is 1k, which everyone should know. Moving up, 1M represents 1 million, which is 1,000 times 1,000. Next is 1E, equal to 100 million, a figure often seen when looking at market cap or trading volume.

Then there's 1B, representing 1 billion, a unit most commonly used when viewing the market cap of large projects. When I check the market, I often see the market cap of certain major coins exceeding 1B, which immediately gives a sense of their scale. Going higher, there's 1T, which is 1 trillion, a number less frequently seen, usually only when looking at the total market capitalization of the entire crypto market.

Actually, memorizing these is enough: K is thousand, M is million, E is hundred million, B is billion, T is trillion. Next time you look at exchange data, you'll be able to quickly convert the numbers without needing a calculator.
