Have you ever wondered how much money there is in the world? I recently pondered this, and the results are shocking. We're talking about around 37 trillion dollars if you count physical cash and money in bank accounts. But that's just the beginning.

When you add all investments, derivatives, and cryptocurrencies to that, the number rises to over 1.2 quadrillion dollars. Crazy, right? It shows how vast the entire financial system is.

Regarding physical money, meaning coins and banknotes we carry in our wallets, it's only about 6.6 trillion dollars. The rest is mainly electronic records in bank accounts and various financial assets. A broader measure of the money supply, which economists track, is expressed in tens of trillions of dollars.

But here comes a truly interesting question: how much money is there in the world, and what is our actual share of this wealth? For most of us, the answer is quite depressing. The average person owns a fraction of a percent of this total resource.

That's precisely why Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies attract so much attention. People are looking for ways to participate in the financial system more fairly, outside traditional institutions. The question of how much money is in the world becomes increasingly relevant as we realize that most of us have access to only a very small part of this wheel.

What do you think? Do you believe cryptocurrencies can change the distribution of this global wealth?
