Just saw the ranking of the largest assets in the world released earlier this year, and honestly, it was quite eye-opening. Real estate still dominates with a fantastic valuation, but what's interesting is the position of commodities. Oil, gold, copper – all still major players in global wealth. In fact, gold is still far larger than the biggest tech assets combined.

What caught my attention is that out of the top 10 largest assets in the world, only NVIDIA and Apple represent the modern technology sector. This means real assets and commodities still form the backbone of the global economy. Currencies are also interesting – the Euro and Japanese Yen still maintain large valuations in the ranking of the world's biggest assets.

That's why, when looking at a global portfolio, diversification into real assets isn't just a trend – it's a fundamental structure. Property, commodities, tech equities – all play important roles. So, it’s becoming clearer why major investors always balance between traditional assets and growth plays.
