These days, there's another hot topic. I'm still brewing tea and looking at last week's TVL chart... Honestly, I'm quite afraid of being led by attention. The more lively it gets, the more likely I am to get itchy hands, ending up repeatedly paying tuition fees. The rule I set for myself is pretty simple: when a hot topic emerges, I don't look at KOLs first; I check whether the funds are genuinely coming in or going out. If there’s no data for several consecutive days, I treat it as background noise.
Some people also complain that on-chain data tools and tagging systems are lagging or even misleading. I’m not surprised; tags are basically like sticking sticky notes on passersby. If you stick them wrong and still believe them seriously, that’s even more awkward. I admit I react a bit slowly; I can’t understand right away where the hype is when I see the explosion... Anyway, I won’t chase after it first. I’ll wait until the heat subsides a bit and the narrative can be explained in plain language before considering. If I miss it, I miss it—at least I can sleep soundly.
