Just realized Satoshi Nakamoto's net worth just took a massive hit over the past couple weeks. The Bitcoin founder dropped roughly $20 billion in portfolio value as BTC pulled back from its peak. What's wild is that he went from being top 10 richest people on the planet down to around 15th place now. Still above Alice Walton and Bloomberg though, so not exactly struggling.

The thing that blows my mind is he's sitting on about 1.1 million BTC that hasn't moved since 2009. Like, that's the definition of diamond hands at a whole different level. Most people can't even hold for a year, and this guy's been passive hodling for over 15 years straight.

It's actually a pretty good reminder of how crazy macro moves can be in crypto. Satoshi Nakamoto's net worth literally swings by tens of billions based on market sentiment. This kind of volatility doesn't exist in traditional wealth, which is both the appeal and the risk of digital assets. Makes you think about what happens when that much value is concentrated in one wallet that never trades.
