I discovered a fascinating story that always makes me smile. Do you know Laszlo Hanyecz? This guy unintentionally created a legendary moment in crypto history without really realizing it.

It was in 2010. Laszlo posted on a forum: "I will give 10,000 BTC for two pizzas." At that time, no one really thought it was worth much—10,000 bitcoins was just $25. Someone accepted, ordered two Papa John's, and had them delivered in Florida. Laszlo confirmed the transaction from his command-line online wallet. And there— the first real documented crypto transaction in the world.

Fast-forward to today. Those two pizzas? They were worth about $1 billion when BTC was around $100,000. Now with BTC at $82,240, we're still talking hundreds of millions. It's crazy.

Every May 22, the community celebrates Bitcoin Pizza Day in honor of Laszlo Hanyecz and that moment that showed the world crypto could really be used for something. But honestly, I sometimes wonder what Laszlo feels when looking at these numbers. Does he have regrets? Probably. But at the same time, he participated in something historic.

Most people will never understand what it's like to have eaten the most expensive lunch in history. Laszlo Hanyecz, he knows. 🍕
