Ondo Finance adds proxy voting feature for $700 million tokenized stock
CryptoWorld News reports that Ondo Finance has announced the addition of proxy voting capabilities for its $700 million tokenized stock offering, aiming to enable investors to participate in corporate governance. This feature is provided by Broadridge Financial Solutions, allowing investors holding over 250 types of tokenized securities to view company documents and submit voting preferences through Broadridge’s ProxyVote system. Investors can log in using their crypto wallets to access documents and governance tools typically limited to brokerage accounts. As tokenized stocks become one of the fastest-growing sectors in the crypto space, this category currently locks in over $1.1 billion in value, having tripled in the past year. Ondo is the largest issuer in this field, reporting over $700 million in stocks and ETF tokens on its global market platform, targeting non-U.S. investors. Although Ondo’s tokens are separate from the underlying stocks and do not grant direct shareholder rights, the new system allows investors to express preferences, which Ondo can apply when voting on the stocks they hold.
