CRFB Proposal Would Cap Social Security Benefits at $100,000 for Couples

CRFB’s “Six Figure Limit” proposal would cap annual Social Security benefits at $100,000 for couples and $50,000 for single retirees. CRFB said the plan would save $100 billion to $190 billion over a decade and close at least one-fifth of the long-term solvency gap.
