According to reports from Iranian media on the 6th, the Navy of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement saying, “We would like to thank the captains and shipowners in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman for complying with the relevant regulations of the Strait of Hormuz and for contributing to regional maritime security.” The statement said, “With the threat posed by aggressors eliminated, the new procedures have entered into force. We will ensure the safe and stable passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.”
