Zhidu Co., Ltd.'s former chairman suspected of rape allegations in the U.S.
On April 24, a reporter obtained a ruling document from the Middle District of Florida, Fort Myers Division, of the U.S. District Court, which showed that ZhiDu Co., Ltd. is being sued jointly and severally in multiple U.S. branches in connection with a sexual assault case. The document was signed in February 2026. According to the document, a 27-year-old woman residing in Florida accused a Chinese citizen named Hongda Lu of rape, and said that Hongda Lu is the chairman of Genimous Technology Co., Ltd. The reporter noted that Genimous Technology Co., Ltd. is the English name of ZhiDu Co., Ltd., an A-share listed company, and that Hongda Lu is believed to be Lu Hongda, the company’s chairman who had just resigned. On April 24, the reporter checked relevant U.S. judicial information websites and obtained the same legal documents, with additional confirmation from sources familiar with the matter that the lawsuit is indeed real.
