Odaily Planet Daily News: The head of the Department of Parliament and Legal Affairs of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nuralbadi, said in an interview on the 6th that the United States had previously deployed several warships in the Gulf of Oman under the so-called “Freedom Plan,” in an attempt to escort vessels and open the route through the Strait of Hormuz. However, due to the strong response from Iran’s armed forces and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issuing solemn warnings, the U.S. failed to successfully pass through the Strait of Hormuz—“the operation ended in failure.” He said that any military adventure by the United States and its allies in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf will bring them costs they can hardly bear, and will further complicate the situation.
