Recently, there has been talk about sharding and parallel processing again, sounding quite lively, like adding lanes to a highway... But honestly, what I care about most is: if something really goes wrong, how do you get off the ride? On-chain liquidity is thin, DEX depth is empty, and slippage immediately teaches people a lesson; no matter how big the narrative is, it’s useless. A few days ago, when that mainstream chain was upgraded/maintained, everyone in the group was guessing whether the ecosystem would move away. I instead looked at whether the bridges and wallet permissions had any messy authorizations, whether there was an extra exit route. TVL (Total Value Locked, meaning the money stored in the protocol) looks good, but that doesn’t mean you can safely withdraw. Anyway, I’d rather go slow now than lock myself into a story of a “beautiful future.”
