Rodriguez said on social media that “reality cannot be concealed: on January 29, U.S. President Trump signed an executive order threatening to impose an ad valorem tariff on U.S. imports from countries that supply oil to Cuba. In the past period, only one ship transporting fuel has arrived in Cuba. All Cuban suppliers have been intimidated and threatened, which violates the rules of free trade and the principle of freedom of navigation.” The new executive order issued on May 1 expanded the scope of sanctions against Cuba.
