I triggered ChatGPT's KYC verification...
I didn't expect Claude to not even start, and just as I was about to use Codex, it suddenly prompted me for verification 🤦♂️
I recorded the KYC video verification process below, where you can see China is an available option, but after confirming, it will prompt that service is not provided. I switched to Singapore region, and all four methods involved directly opening the camera for live capture; PR card photos did not pass.
The general process was that while using GPT 5.5 to run a task, I clicked update, after the update, when returning to the task window and clicking continue, it prompted me with a webpage asking for ID verification.
