Odaily Planet Daily News: An anonymous crypto whale residing in Puerto Rico has sued Coinbase, accusing it of refusing to return funds stolen in the 2024 hacking incident. The case is highly similar to the over $55 million DAI theft in August 2024, with the plaintiff claiming that after falling victim to a phishing attack, they hired multiple on-chain investigation firms to track the flow of funds, ultimately locking onto a Coinbase account.

Court documents show that Coinbase confirmed in early December 2024 that it had frozen the relevant funds pending investigation, but has not yet returned them and stated that assets would only be released upon a court order. (Decrypt)
