U.S. President Donald Trump: "The Freedom Plan" will be temporarily paused.

Trump just announced a pause on "Project Freedom" (the convoy escort campaign through the Strait of Hormuz) just one day after deployment (starting from 5/4). He said this is a decision "based on the request of Pakistan and some other countries," along with "significant progress" toward a "Complete and Final Agreement" with Iran.
• However, the blockade of Iran's ports by the U.S. remains fully in place. Trump emphasized that the U.S. prioritizes peaceful and diplomatic solutions and does not want to escalate.
• He previously reposted a map on Truth Social, temporarily calling the strait the "Strait of Trump," and affirmed that the U.S. has achieved "great military success."
