Recently I’ve seen a whole bunch of PFP/member card projects shouting “Join the community.” My first reaction isn’t about the price—it’s: can this thing let me slow down a little? Only those who are willing to stay after slowing down deserve to be called a brand; if you just ride the attention spike, when the hype is over you’re left with nothing but a pile of profile picture frames.

Especially now, when new L1/L2 projects roll out incentives to pull in TVL, the complaints from old users about “mine-then-sell” aren’t without reason. Put simply, everyone has been trained to fast in and fast out. If a PFP really wants to last long-term, then don’t keep forcing people to chase it with daily tasks and a whitelist—give some long-term, actually usable rights/services. Even if there are fewer, make them stable. At this point, I’d rather move half a step slower: check the route a couple more times, set the slippage stricter… stop blaming “fate.”
