Recently, a bunch of social mining, points, and badge tasks are flooding the scene, and it’s a bit exhausting to watch... Frankly, badges aren’t worth much; what’s valuable is the time you spend being led around by them. To earn more points, I end up connecting to all kinds of unfamiliar contracts, signing a bunch of confusing authorizations, and in the end, my wallet feels like it’s unlocked. I really can’t stand it.

AI agents, automated trading, these narratives are also quite popular, but I care more about whether they actually save you trouble or just “automate” your risks. The fewer signatures, the better; revoke authorizations immediately after interaction; don’t be lazy with siloing assets. Anyway, I’d rather earn fewer points than risk my security just for an identity.

What I fear most isn’t losing money, but losing control: if the money is lost, you can stop; if permissions and habits get mixed up, a series of accidents can easily follow. For now, I’ll do that—tonight I’ll go clear out a few old authorizations.
