Crypto World News reports that Iranian President Pezeshkian stated in a phone call with Iraq’s incoming Prime Minister Zaidi on the 5th that, on the one hand, the United States is exerting maximum pressure on Iran, while on the other hand it is demanding that Iran accept unilateral conditions in negotiations—this logic does not hold, and the related demands are “unrealistic.” Pezeshkian noted that Iran was previously ambushed twice during negotiations, and now, as it engages in dialogue with the United States, it faces military threats again. He emphasized that Iran has always maintained a willingness to communicate within the framework of international law, but it will never accept any external coercion. He believes that rational dialogue is still possible, but advancing negotiations through threats and pressure will not produce results. Pezeshkian hopes that Iraq will, in its contacts with the U.S., persuade the U.S. to stop using military threat tactics.
