Grid/DCA and a one-shot trade—put simply, it’s whether you want to gamble with money on the direction, or gamble with time on whether you’ll regret it. After the third time I was “educated” by perpetual funding rates, I accepted it: sleeping well matters more than winning a single trade. With Grid/DCA, at least you won’t wake up to find you’ve been liquidated into “learning material”; at most, you’ll earn more slowly and feel a twinge of itch watching others post their wins. As for a one-shot trade, the thrill is real, staring at the charts through the early hours is real—and in the end, it’s not about technical skill, but whether you can avoid greed when you’re in floating profit and not pretend to be dead when you’re in floating loss. Recently, I’ve been watching the spiral collapse of on-chain games—inflation + studios + coin prices—and it’s exactly the same as the “all-in” mindset: everyone thinks they can run faster than the crash. Anyway, I care more now about whether I can sleep a full 6 hours tonight.
