Recently, the group has been talking about LST and re-staking again, honestly, there are only two sources of profit: one is the interest from basic staking, and the other is using the same "safety/risk" to endorse other protocols in exchange for points, subsidies, and airdrop expectations. Money doesn't come out of nowhere; someone has to subsidize with their own losses, or you bear the tail risk for others.

The risk is pretty straightforward: LST itself can de-peg, and there are queues for redemption; re-staking is more like stacking blocks, if the contract has issues, the penalty mechanism is wrong, or there's cross-protocol contagion, it quickly shifts from "looks pretty good annualized" to "waiting for liquidation on-chain." Airdrop season + task platforms' anti-witch hunts make everyone feel like clocking in at work, competing for points until they can't sleep... I now prefer to take less, but keep enough stop-loss and margin, after two crashes, I’m genuinely scared. The group’s mood is also divided; some say if you don’t go all-in, you'll miss the era, while others just want to survive. Anyway, I choose the latter first.
