Today I was bombarded with group messages again, over a dozen forwards saying “Stablecoins are about to be regulated,” “Reserve audits are suspicious,” “De-peg quickly, run”… Basically, the more I see, the more I want to hit the market price button. But when I actually checked, the first thing I lost wasn’t the direction, it was Gas. The network congestion on the chain made the transaction fees skyrocket, and I was immediately discouraged. I really can’t stand my Gas allergy.

Who should really pay for impulsive buying? Group friends + KOLs are just giving you a nudge; the finger is still in your own hand. Now I set a rule for myself: no matter how many forwards, mute for half an hour first. If I can use a cheaper chain, don’t force myself onto the mainnet. If I really want to trade, I’ll calculate the slippage and fees beforehand.

My mom just asked me, “Is de-pegging when the money turns into worthless paper?” I can only reply half-heartedly: not necessarily, but rumors love to target people’s bad mental states. Anyway, for now, I’ll do this—avoid being driven by emotions.
