Lately, I've been debating whether I should fully move to L2 or not, basically to save on gas or to save hassle. The feeling of the mainnet being "expensive but reliable" is still there, especially when I occasionally deal with old protocols. With more addresses and more authorizations, I’d rather spend a bit more to clearly understand what I’m doing.

L2 experience is indeed smooth, transferring is like sending a message, but once it involves cross-chain or moving back to the mainnet, it’s like switching from the subway to a high-speed train—lining up, waiting for confirmations... it can really test your patience.

These days, I see everyone complaining about miner/validator income, MEV, and unfair ordering, and I can only say: don’t compete with machines on reaction speed. If you really want to chase hot topics on the mainnet, it feels like you’re just fueling others.
My compromise is: small, frequent daily transfers to L2; for long-term holdings or complex authorizations, stick with the mainnet and take it slow, move less.
Oh, and my mom even asked me, “Is your gas like fuel?” I said, pretty much... Anyway, it’s all about spending money to get somewhere.
