I used to be pretty excited about modularity when I heard people talk about it, feeling like taking apart LEGO and putting it back together; now, in the middle of the night, I’m staring at perpetual funding rates and liquidation heat, honestly for someone like me, a retail user, the most obvious changes are just two points: transfer confirmation and fees are no longer so outrageous, and "which chain" it’s on has become more like backend details (but I still want to curse when stuck).

In the past, seeing labels on on-chain data tools felt as reassuring as seeing answers; now everyone is complaining about lagging labels and being misled, I’ve also realized: modularity widening the road doesn’t mean the navigation is more accurate… Anyway, I now look at the funding rates a couple more times before placing an order, and scan the on-chain activity again, don’t trust the “smart money” label too much, especially when my brain is heated at night. That’s it for now, the midnight snack has cooled.
