Golden Finance reports that on May 5th, local time, Iran’s Supreme Leader’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Velayati stated publicly that the Strait of Hormuz has been closed, and it will not reopen unless “the national will of the Islamic Republic of Iran decides.” In a statement, Velayati said that U.S. President Trump’s claims about restricting Iran’s missile capabilities are unfounded, and Iran remains in a state of war with the United States and will continue to conduct “resistance.” (CCTV)
