Iran's Supreme Leader's Foreign Affairs Advisor: Iran and the U.S. are still at war

Odaily Planet Daily News reports that on the afternoon of May 5th local time, Iran’s Supreme Leader’s foreign affairs advisor Velayati stated to the outside world that the Strait of Hormuz has been closed, and unless “the national will of the Islamic Republic of Iran decides,” the strait will not be reopened. Velayati said in a statement that U.S. President Trump’s claims about restricting Iran’s missile capabilities are unfounded, and Iran and the United States are still at war and will continue to conduct “resistance.” (CCTV)
