The United Arab Emirates launches the National Artificial Intelligence Testing Laboratory

Crypto news, UAE announces the establishment of a National Artificial Intelligence Testing and Verification Laboratory, aimed at testing and certifying AI systems to promote large-scale AI deployment in government and industry. The laboratory is established through collaboration between the UAE Cybersecurity Council, Open Innovation AI, and Cisco, with support from Emircom. The lab will assist organizations in evaluating the security, reliability, and compliance of AI models, agents, and applications. UAE government cybersecurity official Mohammed Al-Kuwaiti stated that the lab will provide sovereign capabilities to ensure AI systems comply with national policies. The lab will assess systems based on domestic regulations and global standards, testing for potential vulnerabilities. Certified systems will receive national certification, signifying compliance and security assurance. Cisco provides infrastructure supporting AI networks and computing with NVIDIA GPUs, while Open Innovation AI is responsible for automated testing. The platform is expected to evaluate tens of thousands of AI systems annually, helping UAE become a global AI hub.
