Golden Finance reports, on May 5th, U.S. Secretary of Defense Hagel stated that two American commercial ships and a U.S. Navy destroyer have successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz, and currently hundreds of ships around the world are waiting to pass. Hagel said, “Two American commercial ships along with a U.S. destroyer have safely passed through the strait, indicating that the waterway is unobstructed.” He added, “We know Iran finds this embarrassing. They claim to control the strait, but that is not the case.”
