OpenClaw Voice Agent speeds up, Meet call integration no longer lags
CryptoWorld News reports that OpenClaw has released v2026.5.4, with core changes focused on voice Agents, plugin migration, and gateway performance. The biggest highlight is the integration with Google Meet: after Twilio calls in, it outputs through Gemini real-time voice bridging, adding segmented audio streams and buffer backpressure, making the voice Agent response faster in Meet, and the old TwiML fallback no longer participates in real-time voice. Additionally, when external plugins are not installed, configuration migration will prompt the correct OpenClaw plugins install, and complete updates, rollbacks, and cleanup paths between Clawhub, NPM, and old built-in plugins, reducing residual plugin issues or installation failures after upgrades. Another enhancement is startup and hot path performance, with OpenClaw enabling more thorough reuse of model directories, plugin metadata, and Agent workspace snapshots, reducing edge failures.
