Crypto World News reports that on the 5th local time, an announcement was released by the Iranian Law Enforcement Command Border Guard, stating that, to strengthen control over the coastal waterways of Khuzestan Province, border guards learned that two batches of fuel were attempting to leave via confirmed routes and planned to sell the fuel to middlemen in countries along the Persian Gulf coast. Law enforcement officers then identified and seized 4 vessels, discovering 130,000 liters of smuggled diesel aboard the ships. In addition, personnel from the Mahshahr Maritime Police Base, while carrying out another separate operation, seized a merchant vessel and confiscated 68,000 liters of fuel. A total of 8 suspects were arrested in the two operations.
