UAE Partially Closes Airspace Again After Iran Launches Missiles

On May 5, following Iran’s launch of missiles and drones towards the UAE, marking the most severe conflict since the ceasefire agreement took effect less than a month ago, the UAE partially closed its airspace for the first time in weeks. According to a navigation notice, parts of the UAE airspace are closed, allowing only specific flight routes to cross the country over the next week. Additionally, restrictions on aircraft traffic for certain routes will remain in effect until May 11. Data from Flightradar24 indicates that flights heading to Dubai and its neighboring emirates are circling abroad, with several aircraft rerouted to Muscat, the capital of Oman.
