Wasabi Protocol Attacker Transfers Stolen Funds to Tornado Cash
On May 5, on-chain analyst Specter reported that the attacker of the Wasabi protocol has transferred all stolen funds into Tornado Cash, completing a centralized mixing operation of approximately $5.9 million in assets. On-chain analysis indicates that this attacker, along with suspected North Korean hacker groups (DPRK), has been continuously using Tornado Cash to launder stolen funds, including those from KelpDAO and LayerZero, exhibiting a complex multi-stage flow of funds.
