Multiple barges caught fire at Port Dile in southern Iran

According to a report by Iran’s Mehr News Agency on the 5th, multiple barges docked at the port of Deyr in southern Iran caught fire, and the fire is still ongoing, with the cause of the fire not yet clear.

The report quoted local fire department officials as saying that two fiberglass commercial barges caught fire first, with one of the ships’ fires being mostly extinguished. The two wooden barges adjacent to these ships were ignited due to the intense fire, and firefighting efforts are still underway.

The report stated that the cause of the incident cannot be determined until the fire is completely extinguished, and more information will be released later. (Xinhua News Agency)
