We originally thought that the advantage we gained was something we got on purpose. But those advantages were deliberately allowed for us by others. And those who didn’t take advantage, instead, ended up getting better things.



From then on, I remembered: Don’t let anyone see that “I’m cheap” in front of them.

Not because I’m afraid of being looked down on, but because once you’re categorized as “someone who can be fooled,” everything you come into contact with afterward will be whatever others have filtered out.
