Recently, I've been browsing PFPs and various membership cards again. Everyone's talking about "brands" and "long-term value" quite enthusiastically, but I always feel it's better not to rush into adding drama to the narrative... Honestly, what keeps you on the chain isn't how good-looking your avatar is, but whether you're willing to continuously bind your identity, rights, and actions together.
I used to think the most valuable thing about memberships was discounts and airdrops, but lately, with phishing links on the rise and hardware wallets out of stock, it's actually the small things like "who's seriously doing security reminders and who’s the first to block fake links in official groups" that make me more willing to renew or stay. Attention comes quickly and leaves just as fast; those who last longer often treat risk control as part of their service.
I myself don't love chasing new PFPs as much anymore. I'd rather do fewer operations, keep transaction structures and nonces clean, and pause two seconds before signing... Anyway, the excitement is there, but in the end, those who lose out are usually the quick hands. That's all for now.
