Wu said that Ripple officially announced that it is sharing North Korea (DPRK)-related threat intelligence with industry members through the Crypto ISAC, a cryptocurrency industry information sharing and analysis center. Ripple stated that North Korea-related threat actors attempt to infiltrate crypto companies through methods such as job applications, and if background checks fail at one company, they may quickly shift to others. Crypto ISAC said that the relevant data includes fraudulent domain names, wallet addresses, intrusion indicators (IOCs), and suspected DPRK IT personnel information and associated signals, to help crypto companies identify related threats in real-time and jointly prevent North Korean hackers from infiltrating.
