CryptoWorld News reports that GSR announced it has received a strategic investment from SC Ventures, the fintech investment arm of Standard Chartered Bank. This deal makes SC Ventures GSR’s first external strategic shareholder since the company was founded in 2013. Both sides stated that the collaboration will focus on digital asset market infrastructure, tokenization, and institutional access. GSR provides market making, over-the-counter trading, advisory, asset management, and liquidity services, aiming to connect traditional finance with the crypto market. GSR CEO Xin Song said that the institutional digital asset market is rapidly maturing, and companies that can lead will combine capital market experience with trusted banking infrastructure, starting with tokenization. This investment comes shortly after GSR’s recent investment in Libeara, a platform that is also supported by SC Ventures. SC Ventures CEO Alex Manson said that the next stage of digital asset evolution will be defined by the strength of its infrastructure.
