I just got that itchy feeling again, and seeing everyone in the group talk about a certain testnet “accumulation points are settling” and “will the mainnet issue tokens,” my first reaction was to actually want to chase it. Then I paused and asked myself: am I getting some new information, or am I just being driven by emotion to add to my position? To put it plainly, most of the time it’s the latter.

Now I’ll set myself a down-to-earth rule: if I truly want to rush in, first I’ll write down the few reasons I think it’s worth it, and save screenshots. In a couple of days when I look back, many of those reasons are basically just “everyone’s going for it,” “if you don’t, you’ll miss out”… that kind of thing. In any case, I’d rather miss out than pretend the risk doesn’t exist at the very top. Especially for those contracts/interactions where I haven’t fully figured out the permissions, callbacks, and upgradeability—forget about whether they’ll issue tokens or not; first, don’t let yourself get carried away, don’t throw yourself out there.
