Golden Finance reports that on May 5th, according to multiple U.S. Department of Defense officials, two U.S. Navy destroyers evaded intense Iranian fire attacks and crossed the Strait of Hormuz into the Persian Gulf.
U.S. defense officials stated that the USS Trenton and USS Mason, supported by Apache helicopters and other military aircraft, encountered a series of coordinated military threats during their voyage.
Iran deployed small speedboats, missiles, and drones to launch continuous saturation attacks on the two warships.
Despite the high intensity of the attacks, neither of the U.S. ships was hit.
Military officials said that with air support and defensive tactics, the U.S. side successfully intercepted and repelled all incoming threats, and none of the fired projectiles hit the ships. (East News Agency)
