Iran Softens Terms for Renewed US Talks, Including Strait of Hormuz Sequencing

Iran sent Washington a new proposal to restart talks and softened its earlier preconditions for negotiations. The proposal would discuss Tehran’s terms for reopening the Strait of Hormuz at the same time as US commitments to cease attacks and lift the blockade on Iranian ports. Iran also said it is prepared to travel to Pakistan for talks early next week if Washington is open to the framework.
