Recently, I realized that in the attention economy, I am just a goldfish... Whenever a hot topic changes, I get itchy. Yesterday, I was still browsing narratives and community atmosphere, and today I was pulled in again by words like "re-pledge / shared security / yield stacking." As a result, I checked the discussion area and everyone was arguing about whether the yield stacking is a scam, and my mind got even more heated.
I used to always say "I only look at on-chain data," which basically means using data as a get-out-of-jail-free card: seeing a few large transactions come in and automatically assuming it will take off; later, I also tried "I only look at sentiment," and when KOLs get excited, I jump in. Now I’ve learned to be a bit smarter: on-chain is a clue, not a conclusion; sentiment is a trend, not a steering wheel. Anyway, I added a little trick for myself — when a hot topic just emerges, I wait a night first. If I still want to buy the next day, then I consider it; if I lose interest after a night, it’s probably me being distracted. Discipline relies on reminders... otherwise, after minting, I really might forget.
