Recently, a bunch of social mining, points, and identity badge gameplay have emerged again, and I find it a bit exhausting to watch. Frankly, badges are not valuable; what’s valuable is you checking in daily, sharing, inviting others, treating time and social relationships as fuel. After being rug pulled, I now get into the habit of first checking contract permissions and whether backdoors are open, then seeing if the project team’s wallet is quietly “harvesting” funds. Many points projects look lively, but they’re actually just locking attention first.

Some people use “identity” as a talisman, often requiring KYC or linking various social accounts. Recently, with the heated debates over privacy coins and coin mixing regarding compliance boundaries, I’ve become more cautious—don’t shout about decentralization while making your behavioral traces into a profile. My approach is very simple: avoid chasing if possible; if I do participate, set a time limit, and don’t let badges drain people completely.
